Bill Dorris

Bill Dorris is a seasoned database developer with over 17 years of experience in application development, data modeling, querying, data analysis, SQL tuning, reporting, and integration. Currently serving as the Manager of Science Data Solutions at Howard Hughes Medical Institute since June 2000, Bill also holds the role of Senior Oracle Project Leader, where accomplishments include the development of custom applications for diverse business systems. As a Data Solutions Architect, key responsibilities involve identifying strategic data needs for scientific initiatives and creating data models. Prior experience includes serving as a Database Applications Developer at Capgemini, leading projects for the United States Chamber of Commerce. Bill Dorris holds a Master's Degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from PennWest Edinboro.
