Grace Park

Grace Park has a diverse work experience, primarily in scientific operations and research. Grace began their career in 2016 as a Research Assistant at Jackson's Language Acquisition Laboratory at Penn State University, where they designed and executed a project to examine how participants from different backgrounds perceive sentence structures. Grace also worked as a Summer Conference Leader during this time, collaborating with coordinators to ensure smooth execution of conferences.

In 2017, Park joined Schilder's Laboratory at Penn State University as a Research Assistant, conducting self-guided experiments to study the effects of diseases on the physiology of bumblebees. Grace also handled laboratory tasks and organized documentation.

Park then transitioned to the role of Global Economic Reporter/Writer at Sisa Magazine in 2016. Here, they researched and wrote articles on various topics, focusing on current issues in the United States from the perspective of Korean Americans.

Since 2018, Park has been with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, where they have held several roles as a Scientific Operations Lead. In these positions, they managed team tasks and progress, coordinated communication between departments, developed protocols to enhance project efficiency, and facilitated the launch of new project teams. Grace also improved processes and procedures, curated and implemented training data, and built a machine learning algorithm.

Grace Park completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Biological Sciences at Penn State University from 2014 to 2017. Grace further pursued higher education at Johns Hopkins University Advanced Academic Programs from 2019 to 2022, where they obtained a Master of Science degree with a concentration in Biotechnology Enterprise. Grace also obtained a certification as a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from the Scrum Alliance in August 2023.
