Naomi O'Higgins has had a successful career in the legal industry, with experience in various roles at different law firms. Naomi started their career as a Trainee Solicitor at Withers LLP in 2001 and eventually became a Solicitor at the same company before leaving in 2005. Naomi then joined Lawrence Graham LLP as a Solicitor from 2005 to 2010. Following that, they worked at Harcus Sinclair as an Associate from 2010 to 2015, and later as a Solicitor until 2016. Currently, Naomi is working as a Partner (TEP) and Head of Trusts and Estates Disputes at Howard Kennedy LLP, where they have been since 2016. In this role, they lead the Trusts and Estates Disputes Team and provides support to clients on various trusts disputes. Naomi also has expertise in cross-border litigation, working with lawyers in offshore jurisdictions.

Naomi O'Higgins pursued their education in a chronological manner. Naomi began by attending Kildare Place School from 1980 to 1988. Following that, they went to Alexandra College Dublin from 1988 to 1994, where they obtained no specific degree. In 1994, Naomi enrolled in University College Dublin, earning a Bachelor of Civil Law (International) degree in Law, which they completed in 1998. During their time at University College Dublin, they also participated in the UCD Law School exchange program at DePaul University College of Law from 1996 to 1997.

Naomi continued their academic journey at King's College London, where they pursued a Master's in Law (Commercial) from 1998 to 1999. Alongside their education, Naomi completed various additional certifications. In 2003, they became admitted to the Roll of Solicitors of England and Wales by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Following that, in 2017, they achieved admission to the Roll of Solicitors of Ireland, awarded by the Law Society of Ireland. Most recently, in September 2019, Naomi obtained the TEP certification from STEP – Advising Families Across Generations. Naomi also holds a full membership in ACTAPS (Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialists), although the details about its institution and the year of obtaining this membership are unknown.
