Robert Black

Robert Black possesses extensive experience in supply chain management and business development, currently serving as the Director of ESG and International Commercial Director at Howdens since July 2007. In this role, Robert leads a £600 million business unit that supports 630 depots with sales of £1.2 billion. Previous positions at Howdens include Kitchen Category Director and Director of Sourcing, where Robert successfully drove improvements in service levels and cost efficiency. Prior to Howdens, Robert worked at MFI as Lead Buyer for Bedrooms and Buyer for Raw Materials, achieving notable cost reductions and profitability enhancements. Robert began a career in the kitchen industry with Symphony Kitchens as a Buyer. Educational qualifications include a BA Hons in Management from the University of Lincoln and completion of The Prince of Wales Business and Sustainability Programme at the University of Cambridge.
