James MacPherson

James Macpherson is a seasoned shipping professional with extensive experience in the industry. Currently, James serves as a Partner at Howe Robinson Partners since June 2015. Prior to that, James held the position of Senior Director at Icap Shipping from March 2008 to May 2015, where involvement in the VLCC global markets and rebranding Capital Shipbrokers into the Icap structure took place. James began a career in shipbroking at Capital Shipbrokers LLP, working from February 1993 to January 2008, specializing in Aframax and Suezmax markets, particularly in the Far East. The journey in shipping commenced as a Trainee Shipbroker at Giles W. Pritchard-Gordon & Co. Limited from January 1992 to February 1993. James earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Business from the University of Stirling, complemented by education at Pangbourne Nautical College.
