If you’re not familiar with the benefits that are being offered, here's what to expect from us:

  • Culture centered on our core values: Integrity, Quality, Service, Teamwork.
  • On-the-job training and opportunities for continuing education.
  • Well-maintained fleet of vehicles and access to leading technology and equipment.
  • Up to $3,000 in tool programs + boot discounts (based on position).
  • Comprehensive benefits package with HSA and supplemental insurance options.
  • 401k with generous match.

How you’ll contribute to the team:

As a Mechanical Designer, you will utilize Revit to design and generate models, drawings, and prefabrication assemblies for plumbing and HVAC systems. This role involves using Revit, Navisworks, and other Autodesk software to develop designs, models, and drawings, coordinating with project managers and foremen on design and prefabrication tasks. You'll also need to coordinate with other trades and contractors on model/design clashes and use your knowledge of plumbing piping and HVAC to design systems. Interpreting 2D drawings, sketches, and isometrics to create models is part of your responsibilities, as well as setting up and maintaining an organized file system for production drawings. Regular job site visits to verify existing conditions and completing as-built models and drawings based on field feedback are essential. Communication regarding new and revised prints and working independently with minimal supervision are also key aspects of the role. Additionally, you will perform other duties as assigned.

What you’ll bring to the table:

You should have a solid understanding of design techniques and be familiar with mechanical terminology. The ability to visualize and execute efficient layouts in a model environment is crucial. Being mechanically inclined and capable of completing basic mathematical calculations is important. Proficiency in Revit is essential, and experience with Navisworks is beneficial.

How you'll qualify:

At minimum, an Associate Degree in computer-aided drafting/design or equivalent experience and training is necessary. This role requires at least 5 years of proven experience using Revit to design plumbing, hydronic, and/or HVAC systems. We may request a sample or portfolio of related work.

What to expect in the office:

Mechanical Designers mainly work in our office and must therefore be able to sit or stand for long periods of time. You may occasionally lift products or materials up to 15lbs and must be willing/able to attend active construction job-site visits as needed.
