Johan de Gelas

Johan De Gelas has extensive experience in academia and technology, serving as the Manager of the Smart Technology Department at HOWEST University of Applied Sciences from September 2001 to September 2021. In this role, Johan directed four educational programs focused on smart technology, including Bachelor Energy Management and Bachelor Multimedia & Creative Technology. Johan was also responsible for daily operations and strategy as an Academic Director and taught data analytics and server technology as a Senior Lecturer. Prior to his tenure at HOWEST, Johan was a Senior Editor at Anandtech.com, specializing in server, CPU, and datacenter technology, and served as Head Server Research at Sizing Servers Research Lab, focusing on server technology education and research. Johan holds a Master's degree in Electromechanical Engineering from Erasmushogeschool Brussel and a secondary education diploma in Mathematics from Atheneum Halle.
