Joonas Sarapalo

Joonas Sarapalo has a diverse work experience beginning in 2012. Joonas started as a Warehouse Worker for various odd jobs, then worked as a Website Editor Intern for BM Media Oy in the same year. In 2016, they worked as a Course Assistant at the University of Helsinki and a Teacher at Linkki ohjelmointikerho. In 2017, they worked as a Software Developer for Pilvi™ Cloud Company, using technologies such as PHP, javascript (Backbone. js), and PostgreSQL. In 2018, they worked as a Software Developer for Futurice, using technologies such as javascript/typescript (React, Node, Next), Scala, AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, Kinesis, Glue, Fargate), Docker, PostgreSQL, and key-value NoSQL. In 2021, they joined Smartly.io as a Software Engineer, working on Smartly's Snapchat campaign management and multi-platform catalog management products, using technologies such as React, Node. js, Typescript, PostgreSQL, OpenAPI, and Kubernetes. Finally, in 2022, they are currently working as an Engineering Team Lead for Hoxhunt, building tools for Hoxhunt admin users, using technologies such as React, Node. js, Typescript, Go, GraphQL, and MongoDB.

Joonas Sarapalo obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Helsinki in 2018, following a three-year program which began in 2015. Joonas then continued their studies at the University of Helsinki and received a Master's degree in Computer Science in 2020.
