Ryo Hirooka

As Chief Financial Officer (CFO), he leads the financial strategy for the entire group and implements proactive and flexible measures with an emphasis on capital efficiency. Over the past few years, he has focused on cash generation, including efforts to improve the cash conversion cycle (CCC), which has been highly praised by investors.

Graduated from the Faculty of Law, Kwansei Gakuin University. After working at Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank (formerly Sumitomo Trust Bank), he joined our Finance Department in 2002. In 2004, he became Finance Manager at HOYA Holdings NV (Netherlands), the group's finance headquarters. In 2007, he became President of HOYA Holdings (Asia) BV, and in 2009, he became Deputy CFO of our Netherlands branch, overseeing finance, tax, and accounting for the entire group. In 2013, he was appointed CFO, and the following year, he became Representative Executive Officer.
