Brian Wong

Brian Wong is a seasoned professional in intellectual property management with extensive experience in the biotechnology and life sciences sectors. Currently serving as Director of Intellectual Property at HOYA Surgical Optics since December 2015, responsibilities include overseeing global intellectual property strategy, R&D-related contracts, licensing, and partnership development. Prior to this role, Brian held various positions at the National University of Singapore, focusing on technology transfer and commercialization of life science inventions. Additionally, experience includes roles at Codexis Laboratories Singapore and Abbott Laboratories, with a solid academic foundation comprising a B.A. in Chemistry and Biology from Northwestern University and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
