Drew Reese

Drew Reese has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. In 2001, they began their career in the US Navy, where they served as a PO2 until 2008. Following their military service, Drew worked as a Computer Sales Tech at Office Depot from 2009 to 2012.

In 2016, Drew joined the University of Washington as a Virtual/Augmented Reality Capstone Teaching Assistant, where they played a key role in establishing the course and supporting students in utilizing Unity engine for their projects. Drew later became an Introduction to Computer Graphics Teaching Assistant, providing assistance to students and leading project help sessions.

From 2017 to the present, Drew has been employed at Hoylu, initially as a Software Developer Intern and then progressing to various roles. As a Software Development Engineer, they contributed to the development of web and native applications using React. Drew eventually advanced to the position of Engineering Lead, managing both front-end and backend engineering teams. In their current role as Sr. Software Development Engineer | Engineering Lead - Services Team, Drew oversees two teams responsible for front-end, backend, UI/UX, and QA engineering. Drew utilizes their skills in Javascript/Typescript, React, Redux, React-Router, Material-UI, Electron, and Cordova to develop and enhance applications.

Drew Reese completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science at the University of Washington from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Computer Science from Olympic College from 2012 to 2014. Drew also attended Quincy University in 1998 and 1999, where they studied Computer Science but did not complete a degree.
