Tereza Šmejkalová

Tereza Šmejkalová is a seasoned tax professional with extensive experience in indirect tax management, particularly within the EMEA region. Holding the position of EMEA Indirect Tax Director at HP from January 2009 to October 2015, Tereza managed a VAT team, oversaw an annual VAT flow of approximately USD 21B across 35 EMEA countries, and led the transaction tax strategy during the SAP4/HANA implementation. Additionally, Tereza was responsible for the transfer of VAT compliance functions to Big 4 firms and the management of ongoing compliance strategies. Tereza also served as the VAT Manager for both the Czech Republic and CEE regions, and was a member of the EU VAT Expert Group at Hewlett-Packard. Tereza's academic background includes a Master's degree in Tax Law/Taxation from the Prague University of Economics and Business.
