Mehnaz Hyder, MD, is a founding partner of the Humanitarian Physicians Empowerment Community (HPEC), where efforts focus on utilizing decentralized ledger technology-based Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) to enhance the physician-patient relationship by restoring privacy, security, and trust. Additionally, Mehnaz Hyder serves as a psychiatrist at Art of Mind Psychiatry, specializing in treating individuals with moderate to severe emotional trauma, particularly technology startup founders experiencing burnout. Previously, Mehnaz Hyder worked as an Acute Inpatient Psychiatry Physician at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Palo Alto, leading a clinical team to evaluate and treat severely mentally ill veterans. Educational credentials include a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and a General Psychiatry Residency from Nassau University Medical Center.
