Karl Johnson

Karl Johnson is currently the IT Director at HR Green. Karl was previously the Director of IT Infrastructure Strategy at Thomson Reuters from April 2006 to July 2012. In this role, they were responsible for identifying the IT Infrastructure strategy for Thomson Reuters' Governance, Risk and Compliance (TR GRC) business unit. This included creating the strategy with supporting business cases to consolidate TR GRC's data centers from 12 global locations with 5 different vendors into 4 strategic Thomson Reuters data centers. Karl also identified how to leverage positions within the larger Thomson Reuters data center operations organization and enabled disparate TR GRC customer-facing applications to integrate seamlessly, allowing customers to manage a single user id/password to access multiple legacy-acquisition products. Additional responsibilities included planning capital purchases with Finance leaders and executing financial analysis on infrastructure-related projects as well as coordinating with the Technology PMO to plan for resources as infrastructure projects are approved. Karl also created infrastructure-related business cases to the Executive Leadership team for approval and acted as the Executive Sponsor for TR GRC infrastructure-related programs and projects.

Karl Johnson has a MBA from Augsburg University and a BS in Mathematics from St. Cloud State University.

They are on a team with Erin Dusil - Director of Human Resources, Dave Reitz - President, Land Development, and Rick White - President, Governmental Services. Their manager is Jason Poppen, Chief Executive Officer.
