Since August 2015, John has been working at HR Imaging Partners Inc. as a photographer, specializing in student portraits and events. John also operates as a commercial and corporate photographer through John Shurtz Photographer, focusing on product, location, and event photography while collaborating with other photographers on large projects. Previous experience includes working with Best Buy's Geek Squad as a technician, and serving as a photographer for Awana Clubs International, producing work for annual catalogs and promotional materials. Early career roles include photography and graphic artistry for Gladson and Associates. John holds a Bachelor of Art degree in Photography from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, and studied at Illinois Central College.
