Trausti Hardarson is a business executive and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in the private and public sectors. Trausti is currently the founder of HR Monitor, a startup that provides real-time data and analytics to help businesses optimize their human resources.

Hardarson has held various board positions throughout their career, including chairman of the board for Securitas hf., Reykjavik University MBA Alumni, and Sparisjóður Vestmannaeyja – Vestmanneyja Saving Bank. Trausti was also a member of the Icelandic Association of Business and Economics and served on the education board.

In addition to their work in the private sector, Hardarson also served as an alternate city council member for The City of Reykjavik from 2014 to 2018. During this time, they were responsible for representing the city in various meetings and events, as well as handling constituent concerns.

Trausti Hardarson has an MBA from Reykjavik University, a BSc in Business from Reykjavik University, a Diploma in Finance from Reykjavik University, and a degree in Electrical Engineering from Aalborg University. Trausti also has a diploma from the Icelandic School of Engineering and Technology, and is certified as an electrician from FVA - Iceland.
