Sheila Aekins

Sheila Aekins serves as the Vice President of Human Resources at JobsOhio, where responsibilities include leading initiatives to support business growth and job retention in Ohio since June 2014. Aekins has also held various positions within JobsOhio, including Sr. Managing Director and Managing Director. In addition, Aekins contributes to the Human Resource Association of Central Ohio as a Past President, promoting best practices and leadership in HR. Previous experience includes roles as Human Resources Manager at Health Care DataWorks, HR/Recruiting Manager at WHITTMANHART, and HR Manager at Divine. Aekins began the professional journey in HR as a Regional Manager and Consultant at Platinum Group International after earning a BA in Rhetoric and Communication from Kent State University.
