Joanne Parkes is an experienced asset management professional with a strong background in engineering and strategic planning in the transportation sector. Currently serving as Head of Asset Management at HS1 Ltd since April 2022, and previously as Asset Strategy Manager at Transport for London, Joanne has led significant projects, including the introduction of data analytics in asset management and the development of a £2bn annual Asset Investment Plan for London Underground. Prior experience includes roles at Network Rail as Senior Asset Engineer, where funding was secured for a £140m renewal plan, and as Asset Engineer with responsibilities for bridge examinations and structural safety. Joanne's engineering career began at Sinclair Knight Merz and MOUCHEL plc., focusing on civil engineering design for various rail projects. Joanne holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Surrey.
