Bernie Rowell

Bernie Rowell is a seasoned professional in the rail industry, currently serving as the Head of Delivery - Rolling Stock Projects at HS2 Ltd since November 2017, where responsibilities include leadership in the procurement of high-speed rolling stock, contract management, and governance. Prior to this, Bernie held positions such as Head of Rolling Stock Project at Abellio Group and Engineering Work Stream Leader, showcasing a strong background in engineering and project management. Earlier roles include Senior Project Engineer at Hitachi Rail Europe, Principal Consultant at Steer Davies Gleave, and various positions at Angel Trains, demonstrating extensive experience in rolling stock and traction systems. Bernie holds a Master of Science in Railway Systems Engineering from the University of Birmingham and a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nottingham.
