Mridul Hegde

Mridul Hegde is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across prominent institutions. As Chairwoman at HSBC Innovation Banking since April 2024, Mridul oversees strategic initiatives. In addition, Mridul serves as a Non-executive Director at HSBC UK since July 2018 and previously held a similar role at the UK Municipal Bonds Agency from October 2015 to April 2018. Mridul's past experience includes serving as Executive Director of Strategy at the Financial Reporting Council from November 2012 to March 2014 and holding key positions at HM Treasury from 2004 to October 2012, including Director of Financial Stability and Director of Public Spending. Mridul holds a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Oxford and a Master's Degree in Economics from the University of London.
