Alex Merla is the Head of Wholesales for Southern Europe and Deputy Managing Director for the Italian Branch at HSBC Asset Management, with over 20 years of experience in Asset Management, Investment Banking, and Wealth Management. Alex previously held positions such as Managing Director and Head of Business Development Italy at Lyxor Asset Management and served as a Portfolio Manager at Pioneer Investments and Banca del Gottardo. Alex began their career as a Junior Consultant at Merrill Lynch and earned a laurea from Università Commerciale 'Luigi Bocconi' along with a EUREX Examination in Derivatives.
