Ian Dorrington

Ian Dorrington is the Global Head of Leveraged & Acquisition Finance at HSBC, a position they have held since 2023. With 20 years of investment banking experience, Ian has held leadership roles at prominent financial institutions including Deutsche Bank, where they served as Co-Head of U.S. Leveraged Finance from 2011 to 2023, and Bank of America, where they were a Director in High Yield Capital Markets. Ian's career began at Merrill Lynch, where they worked in Leveraged Debt Capital Markets and European Leveraged Finance. They earned a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience from the University of Cambridge, graduating in 2000.
