Jonathan Vázquez

Jonathan Vázquez holds a BSc in Actuarial Science, graduating summa cum laude, and is currently pursuing a part-time MSc in Applied Economics at ITAM. Since August 2023, they have been the Senior Manager at HSBC’s Global Risk Analytics, overseeing the development and governance of Internal Rating Based (IRB) models. Prior to this, Jonathan served in various roles, including as a Senior Analytical Consultant at SAS, where they implemented credit risk models for financial institutions in Latin America, and as a Specialist in Risk and Analysis Methodologies at the Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores, focusing on regulatory standards and stress testing models. Their expertise includes advanced analytics tools and a deep understanding of risk governance, compliance, and cross-functional leadership.
