José Luis Stein is the Regional Head of Financial Crime for Mexico and Latin America at HSBC and co-coordinator of the Compliance Committee at Asociación de Bancos de México. Currently a managing director for Latin America and the Caribbean at K2 Integrity, José Luis supports clients in enhancing their financial crimes compliance regimes. Previously, José Luis served as vice president of preventive measures at the Mexican National Banking and Securities Commission and legal counsel at the International Monetary Fund, where they advised on AML/CFT issues. José Luis earned a master of arts in law and diplomacy from the Fletcher School and a J.D. from Universidad Iberoamericana, receiving the Fletcher First Ten Award in 2017.
