Michael Kan

Michael Kan, CFA, is an experienced finance professional currently serving as a Market Risk Manager and Vice President at HSBC since June 2015, focusing on London Markets Treasury and European Sites. Previously held the position of Assistant Vice President at HSBC UK Ring Fenced Bank Markets Treasury, where responsibilities included balance sheet management and credit ABS trading. Michael began a career in market risk with managerial roles in Global Banking and Markets in Toronto after serving as a summer intern in the same department. Prior experience includes an Associate role at State Street within the Cayman and Alternative Investments Group, as well as financial services at Sun Life Financial and a summer internship at Merrill Lynch in San Francisco. Michael earned an M.B.A. from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from York University.
