Peggy Scherer, CFA, CAIA, is a seasoned finance professional with over 15 years of experience in corporate and investment banking, structured finance, and credit risk. Currently serving as a Chapter Executive for the CAIA Latin America Chapter, Peggy focuses on promoting alternative investment knowledge and best practices in capital markets. At HSBC, Peggy previously held the role of VP Structured Trade Finance, where they led client engagements in asset-based lending and factoring. Prior roles include being a Market Risk Associate and Investment Analyst at Nomura Trust, and a Transaction Risk Analyst at BNP Paribas. Peggy is also an active angel investor in the fintech, agtech, and biotech sectors across Latin America.
