Willard McLane is an experienced professional in strategy and corporate development with a background in prominent financial institutions. From August 2021 to January 2023, Willard served as Group Head of Strategy and Corporate Development at HSBC, having previously held the role of Group Head of Corporate Development. Prior to HSBC, Willard was with Citi from January 2013 to August 2021, where responsibilities included Vice Chairman of the Asia Technology Group and Vice Chairman of Global Financial Institutions, as well as leading the Financial Institutions CIB Asia Pacific and participating as a Steering Committee Member for the World Economic Forum’s ASEAN Hub Sustainable Development Investment Partnership, along with being a member of the Capital Markets Advisory Committee for the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Earlier in Willard's career, from April 2001 to July 2012, Willard was Head of Financial Institutions and an investment banker at Morgan Stanley. Willard holds an M.B.A. in Finance from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor’s Degree from Wesleyan University.
