HSE Research & Development was set up to develop a framework for governance, support and strategic direction for health research, to enable existing activity and to grow research activity within the public health service. Our ultimate goal is to improve the quality of health and social care services and the health and well-being of our patients and the population.
HSE Research & Development is responsible for implementing The Action Plan for Health Research 2019-2029. This plan aims to put in place the building blocks within the Health Service that will enable research and innovation to integrate with healthcare delivery and to grow in a sustainable manner.
