Michael Collasius

Michael Collasius has over 30 years of work experience in the life sciences and diagnostics industry. Michael is currently the CEO and Co-Owner of HSE•AG, a company specializing in the development and maintenance of reagent-based diagnostics and in-vitro analysis systems. Prior to this, they held various managerial roles at QIAGEN, including General Manager, Head of Business Area, and Senior Vice President Business Excellence. At QIAGEN, they led a multi-national business unit to above-market growth and achieved significant cost savings through efficiency and effectiveness programs. Michael also served as the General Manager, Group Executive Committee member, and Global Head of Automated Systems at QIAGEN, where they built a profitable business through innovation of the product portfolio and targeted acquisitions. Before joining QIAGEN, Michael was the General Manager and Vice President of Automated Systems at ROSYS AG, where they ignited growth and profitability by implementing talent management strategies and developing high-throughput sample purification systems. Michael also has experience as a member of the Supervisory Board at Sias AG and as a PH.D. student at the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry.

Michael Collasius obtained a Vordiplom in Biology from The University of Bonn between 1981 and 1984. Michael then pursued a Diploma in Molecular Biology at the University of Cologne from 1984 to 1988. Finally, they completed their education by obtaining a Doctorate in Molecular Biology from the Max Planck Society between 1988 and 1992.
