Patrick Widler

Patrick Widler has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Patrick started their career in 1989 at Sauber Motorsport as a Composite Development Engineer, where they managed projects and developed chassis and bodywork for racing cars. In 1993, they joined Helbling as a Senior Business Consultant, where they worked until 2003.

Widler then moved into the life sciences and diagnostics field, joining QIAGEN in 2004. At QIAGEN, they held various roles including Associate Director of Innovation Management, General Manager of eGene Inc., and Senior Director of Post-Merger Business Integration. In 2012, they became the Managing Director of QUANTA BioSciences Inc. and 5PRIME GmbH. Patrick then held positions as Vice President of Commercial Partners EMEA and Vice President of Head of Market Development Management EMEA before leaving QIAGEN in 2016.

Since 2017, Widler has been working at Hombrechtikon Systems Engineering AG as the Chief Commercial Officer. The company specializes in digitalizing biology and designing automated solutions for the life science industry.

Patrick Widler has a Master's Degree in Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the Graduate School of Business Administration Zurich, which they obtained from 1999 to 2002. Patrick also has another Master's Degree in Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University at Albany, SUNY, which they completed in 2001-2002. Additionally, they hold an Engineer's Degree in Composite Materials from the University of Applied Science, Brugg-Windisch, which they earned from 1985 to 1989. In 1993-1994, they obtained a Master's Degree from KS Kaderschulen St. Gallen, but the field of study is not specified.
