Jie Lin

Jie Lin has a diverse range of work experience in various industries and roles. Jie began their career at Yuanpei University as a Lecturer, where they were responsible for building the school's wireless roaming environment and defining information security guidelines and policy. Jie then moved on to Academia Sinica, Taiwan as a Postdoc, where they planned information security guidelines and policy and conducted vulnerability scanning and risk assessments.

After that, Jie joined Yahoo! as a Sr. Project Manager, where they managed projects related to membership, security products, global social platforms, and school relationships. Jie led the launch of Two-factor authentication solutions and established the first global social platform project in Yahoo Taiwan.

Jie then worked at Tamkang University as a Professor, where they led a team in redesigning the department website and building an e-newsletter. Jie was also the Chairman of the Taiwan Anti-Phishing Workshop and lectured computer science and engineering courses.

Following this, Jie joined HTC as a Sr. Manager of Program Management, Internet Platform Services. Jie led project teams in launching essential platform services and building a scalable account system. Jie integrated famous social accounts and facilitated login processes.

Currently, Jie is working at HTC Vive as the Director of Product/Program Management, Global Digital Content Platform & Ecosystem. Jie assists the VP in managing a team of over 150 people and is responsible for business strategy planning, team structure optimization, and coaching. Jie has also led the expansion of the WAVE ecosystem to multiple hardware partners and devices in China through collaboration with various teams within HTC.

Overall, Jie Lin has a strong background in project and program management, information security, and education.

Jie Lin completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science from National Chiao Tung University between 2001 and 2006. Prior to that, Jie earned a Master's degree in Computer Science from the same university. Jie's undergraduate education involved earning a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Tamkang University.
