Jonathan Haley

Jonathan Haley has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Jonathan is currently working as the Manager of Strategy at HTEC since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Zen and the Art of Clean Energy Solutions Inc., which is now part of HTEC, as a Project Manager from September 2019 to July 2022.

Before joining HTEC, Jonathan worked as a Consultant at Bain & Company from September 2017 to June 2019. Jonathan also gained international experience working with Engineers Without Borders Canada, where they served as a Venture Leader for BDSA Ghana from May 2014 to June 2016. In this role, they built a start-up business consultancy and developed a low-cost consulting methodology for pre-investment agri-businesses. Jonathan also worked as a Consultant for Business Development Services Africa at Engineers Without Borders Canada from August 2013 to April 2014, leading teams on business advisory projects and providing guidance for impact investment and operational efficiency.

Jonathan's earlier work experience includes roles such as an Electrical Engineer at WSP from September 2008 to July 2013, an IT Administrator, Computer Trainer, and Web Developer at VSO from September 2007 to May 2008, and a Fuel Cell Research & Development Intern at Ballard Power Systems from January 2006 to September 2006.

Jonathan also had an internship as an Electrical Designer/Drafter at Cochrane Engineering, which is now WSP Canada, from May 2005 to August 2005. In this role, they worked with a team of engineers on designing and drafting electrical and instrumentation systems for mining projects.

Lastly, Jonathan had an internship as a NetOp Software Engineering Intern at Redback Networks Inc., now Ericsson, from September 2004 to December 2004.

Jonathan Haley completed their education with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from the University of Oxford in 2017. Jonathan achieved this degree with Distinction. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of British Columbia from 2003 to 2007. In addition to their formal education, Jonathan also obtained additional certifications such as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford in July 2017, and a Professional Engineer certification from Engineers and Geoscientists BC in September 2008.
