Baerbel "Babs" Gearheart

Babs Gearheart has a strong background in accounting and accounts payable. Baerbel "Babs" worked as a Staff Accountant at HTG Molecular Diagnostics from August 2015, where they handled payroll for over 100 employees across multiple locations and reconciled W-2 and payroll taxes. Baerbel "Babs" also managed accounts payable, processing vendor bills and payments using ERP systems. Babs implemented a company-wide travel and expense report management solution and updated the Business Expense Reimbursement Policy.

Prior to that, Babs served as the Accounts Payable Manager at the Muscular Dystrophy Association from March 2015 to July 2015. In this role, they supervised two Accounts Payable Specialists, solicited forms and processed tax documents.

Before joining the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Babs was an Accounts Payable Supervisor at Providence Service Corporation from March 2008 to October 2014.

Baerbel "Babs" Gearheart obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Pima Community College, where they studied from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, from 2001 to 2006, they also earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Northwest Florida State College. Before pursuing their associate degrees, from 1984 to 1990, Baerbel studied Sociology and Mathematics at Freie Universität Berlin. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a Certificate of Bookkeeping from Pima Community College in May 2021, and an Accredited Payables Manager Certification (APM) from the Institute of Finance and Management in May 2012.
