Kurt Michels began their work experience in 2008 as an Assistant Cross Country Coach at Bozeman High School and later became the Head Middle School Track Coach at Chief Joseph Middle School. In 2007, they served as an Instructor at Montana State University. From 2011 to 2015, they worked as a Data Scientist at iPlant Collaborative, where they created statistical Machine Learning screening processes and programmed in C++. Since 2015, they have been working as a Data Scientist at HTG Molecular Diagnostics.
Kurt Michels obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Statistics with a minor in Computer Science from the University of Arizona, between 2011 and 2015. Prior to that, between 2009 and 2011, they pursued a Master's Degree in Statistics at Montana State University-Bozeman. Before that, they obtained another Master's Degree in Mathematics from the same institute between 2007 and 2009. Kurt Michels started their higher education by completing a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics Education from Montana State University-Bozeman, between 2005 and 2007. Kurt then acquired a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics Education from the University of Utah, starting in 2002 and completing it in 2005. Their educational journey began at Flathead High School, where they completed their High School education between 1998 and 2002.
