Patrick Roche

Sr Vice President at HTG Molecular Diagnostics

Patrick Roche has more than 30 years of work experience in the field of molecular diagnostics and translational medicine. Patrick started their career at Mayo Clinic in 1982, where they served as the Director of the Immunohistochemistry Clinical Laboratory for 20 years. During their tenure at Mayo Clinic, they also held various research and leadership roles, including Associate Professor of Pathology and Biochemistry-Molecular Biology, director of the Tissue Acquisition Core for the Mayo Cancer Center, and chair of Translational Research for the North Central Cancer Treatment Group.

In 2002, Roche joined Ventana Medical Systems, where they initially led the Reagent Product Development Team, launching numerous In Vitro Diagnostic products. Patrick later became the Vice President of Translational Diagnostics and Head of Scientific Affairs and Biomarker Strategy. In this role, they facilitated the development of targeted cancer therapeutics by working closely with pharmaceutical partners and transitioning biomarkers into companion diagnostics.

In 2014, Roche joined HTG Molecular Diagnostics as the Senior Vice President, where they continue to contribute their expertise in molecular diagnostics and translational medicine.

Patrick Roche received their Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Southern California from 1971 to 1975. Patrick then pursued further education at the same university and obtained their PhD in Experimental Pathology from 1975 to 1982.
