Mark LaFrance

Principal at HTS

Mark LaFrance is the current Principal at HTS. Prior to this, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer for Brayton Energy LLC from May 2007 to April 2012. There, they supported the design development and testing of gas turbine solar power conversion units, 350kW gas turbine engines for high-production commercial use, underwater compressed air energy storage technology, and ultra-high efficiency Brayton Cycle heat exchangers. Mark also worked on diesel-engine-powered propulsion systems for the Department of Defense (DOD) and independent conceptual design case studies for the Department of Energy (DOE).

Before joining Brayton Energy, Mark LaFrance worked as a Machine Operator / Quality Control Technician at Tucker Engineering from June 2006 to March 2007. There, they were responsible for machine operation, assembly, and quality control. Mark operated everything from automated CNC production machines to manual machinery and assembled military computer cases that could withstand harsh environmental conditions. Their quality control studies focused on minimizing CNC machine time and operator error.

Mark LaFrance is also an alumni member of UNH Precision Racing, where they worked from September 2005 to September 2009.

Mark LaFrance has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire and a bachelor's degree from Pelham High School.
