Anthony Fejes has over 20 years of experience in the field of bioinformatics. Anthony began their career in 1998 as a Programmer/Analyst Co-op Student at the University of Waterloo. Anthony then moved on to become a Software Consultant at the University of Waterloo's Information Systems and Technology in 1999. In 2003, they co-founded and became the Chief Scientific Officer of Zymeworks. After that, in 2007, they became a PhD Candidate at The Genome Sciences Centre/BC Cancer Agency. In 2011, they were a Bioinformatics Specialist at CLC bio A/S. In 2013, they became a Bioinformatics Programmer/Analyst at the Centre for Molecular Medicine and Therapeutics, UBC. In 2014, they were a Senior Director of Bioinformatics at Fabric Genomics. In 2017, they became a Sr. Scientist and Head of Bioinformatics at Tenaya Therapeutics. In 2019, they were the Head of Bioinformatics at SolveBio. Most recently, in 2020, they became the Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of HTuO Biosciences.
Anthony Fejes obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Biochemistry from the University of Waterloo between 1995 and 2000. Anthony then completed a Bachelor of Independent Studies (B.I.S) from the University of Waterloo between 1997 and 2001. Following this, they earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of British Columbia between 2001 and 2004. Finally, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Bioinformatics from the University of British Columbia between 2007 and 2012.
