Benson Lim has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Benson started their career in 2001 as an Artillery Specialist in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) before transitioning to the role of System Administrator at Ananda Travel in 2004. In 2006, they joined ST Electronics (Info-Software Systems) Pte Ltd as a System Specialist and worked there until 2012. Benson then moved to CSC as a Project Manager from 2012 to 2015. Benson later joined the Singapore Police Force as a Program Manager from 2015 to 2019. Currently, Benson is working at HTX (Home Team Science & Technology Agency) as a Lead Engineer and Head of Security & Mobility Systems since December 2019 and July 2021, respectively.
Benson Lim holds a Master of Science degree in Information Systems from Nanyang Technological University Singapore, which they pursued from 2010 to 2012. Benson also achieved a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from The University of Queensland in 2005. Prior to that, they completed a Diploma in Information Technology (Computer Studies) from Ngee Ann Polytechnic from 1998 to 2001. In terms of additional certifications, Benson Lim obtained the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from Scrum Alliance in May 2019 and the Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute in May 2015.
