Dr. Ryan

Dr. Qian Gong Ryan serves as the Chief Investment Director at Huawei's Corporate Development Department since November 2018, focusing on corporate development initiatives including CVC, M&A, and strategic investments across the UK, Ireland, and CEE/EMEA regions. Prior to this, Ryan held various roles at EY from March 2015 to November 2018, including Assistant Director and Senior Executive in the TMT M&A practice, where responsibilities included advising technology companies on growth strategies and managing cross-border deal flows. Experience also includes positions at Oppenheimer & Co. as a Senior TMT M&A Analyst, at J.P. Morgan as a TMT M&A Analyst, and as an Analog IC Designer at O2Micro. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cambridge, a Master of Science in Microelectronics from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a Bachelor of Science in Automation from Tsinghua University.
