Mehrdad Gholami

Mehrdad Gholami is an accomplished Senior RF/Microwave Engineer at Huawei with expertise in research, design, and implementation of MIMO phased array transceivers for FR3, starting in April 2025. Gholami's experience includes roles as an RF power amplifier designer at the University of Waterloo and MMSENSE Technologies Inc., along with notable contributions as a Staff MMIC Design Engineer at iCana, where efficient power amplifiers were developed for sub-7 GHz applications. Previous roles include a Research Associate at the University of Waterloo focusing on millimeter-wave integrated circuits for satellite communications, and as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Calgary specializing in high power amplifiers. Gholami holds a Ph.D. in Microwave and Millimeter Wave from the University of Ottawa and has extensive teaching experience in various engineering courses in Iran.
