Julien Lesage

Julien Lesage is the CEO of Hubcycle, a company focused on transforming plant-based food waste into innovative ingredients for personal care and food, a position held since May 2016. Prior to this role, Julien founded Léon & Hercule, a French brand specializing in the manufacture of leather tactical gloves, from March 2013 to March 2016. Additional experience includes a short-term position at Agrial groupe conducting exploratory studies on by-products and waste valorization, and an R&D internship at Charabot where contributions were made to the cosmetic active ingredients department. Julien has also founded Be Wise Design, originally focused on ready-to-wear fashion and later interior decoration. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Cosmetic and Fragrance Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology with a focus on Biotechnology, both obtained from the University of Montpellier.
