Morris Qian

Morris Qian has a diverse work experience in the chemical industry spanning over two decades. Morris currently holds the position of Sales Director, Asia Pacific at Huber Engineered Materials since 2020. Prior to this, they served as Vice President, Carbon Black for Rubber, Asia Pacific at Orion Engineered Carbons from 2015 to 2019. In this role, they led a multinational team and was responsible for formulating and executing business strategies, driving sales and marketing activities, and optimizing business performance.

Before joining Orion Engineered Carbons, Morris worked at SABIC for a significant period. Morris held various roles such as Business Manager, PP BU-Asia and Branch Manager - Beijing. In these positions, they were responsible for managing the polypropylene business in Asia Pacific, leading sales teams, and driving profitability optimization through collaboration with various departments.

Prior to their tenure at SABIC, Morris worked at FINA CHEMICALS LIMITED as a Sales Manager, handling the sales of polyolefin and SBS rubber. Morris also played a crucial role in developing new business in plastic fuel tanks and bitumen modification.

At the start of their career, Morris worked as a Sales Representative at SK Shanghai, where they were responsible for developing the business for polyethylene and polypropylene specialty products in China.

Morris Qian's work experience demonstrates their expertise in sales management, business development, and strategy formulation in the chemical industry.

Morris Qian obtained their Bachelor's degree in Applied Chemistry from Peking University between 1990 and 1995. Later, they pursued their EMBA degree in EMBA from the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, completing it between 2006 and 2008.
