Nick Parsons

Nick Parsons is currently the Chair of the Optical Communications & Photonics Expert Working Group at UKTIN since June 2023. Prior to this, they served as the CTO of the Communication Segment at HUBER+SUHNER starting from July 2021. From October 2002 to June 2021, they held the positions of CTO & Vice President Engineering at Polatis. In the year 2000, they worked as the Vice President Programmes for Marconi Optical Components at Marconi PLC. Nick also served as the Technical Director of Tactical Products Division at BAE SYSTEMS from 1995 to 2000. Nick Parsons started their career at GEC-Marconi Research Centre in 1988 as the Divisional Manager, where they worked until 1995.

Nick Parsons received a BSc Hons degree in Electronics from the University of Southampton, where they studied from 1976 to 1979.
