Mertkan Kalyoncu

Mertkan Kalyoncu has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries and roles. In 2007, they started their career as a Technical Assistant at GeoServe- Angewandte Geophysik. Mertkan then interned at Rheinmetall Defence in 2007 and again in 2008. In 2012, Mertkan completed an internship at Dräger. In 2013, they worked on their Diploma/Master thesis at Kiel University (CAU). In 2014, Mertkan became a Research Assistant at Kiel University, where they focused on the mechanical and electrical optimization of an energy storage system for a wind turbine. Mertkan also developed circuit boards for the power and control unit of the system and was involved in the commissioning process. From 2014 to 2021, Mertkan worked as a Senior Consultant at Rapp Trans (DE) AG. In 2021, they joined Hubject as a Project Lead for eMobility in the R&D department. In 2022, they became a Team Lead for Consulting at Hubject. Currently, Mertkan is the Team Lead for eMobility in the R&D department at Hubject.

Mertkan Kalyoncu's education history begins in 2003 when they attended İzmir Yunus Emre Anadolu Lisesi. The degree earned and field of study during this time are unknown. From 2006 to 2014, they pursued a Diploma (M.Sc.) in Industrial engineering - electrical engineering and information technology at Kiel University. In 2020, Mertkan obtained a certificate in Leadership Principles from Harvard Business School Online. In 2021, they completed a certificate in Entrepreneurship Essentials from the same institution. Additionally, Mertkan obtained several certifications, including eCARS03x: Electric Cars: Business, eCARS04x: Electric Cars: Policy, and Professional Certificate - Electric Cars, all from Technische Universiteit Delft, in October 2021. In February 2021, they earned a certificate in eCARS2x: Electric Cars: Technology from the same institution. In January 2021, Mertkan completed a certification in Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python) from the University of Michigan, as well as The Fundamentals of Digital Marketing from Google Digital Garage. Earlier, in November 2018, they obtained certifications in Convincing in Difficult Situations from ComTeam AG and Rhetoric and Presentation from PROAKTIV Management GmbH. Finally, in January 2014, Mertkan attained the Diplom Wirtschaftsingenieur Elektro- und Informationstechnik from Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel. Mertkan also holds a certification as a Qualified IT-Risk Manager from Bitkom, received in November 2016.
