Arshiya Farooq

Arshiya Farooq has a diverse work experience in various industries. Arshiya started as a Graphic Designer at Meraki counseling and wellbeing in 2018, where they worked with clients to create designs for various mediums. In 2019, Arshiya transitioned into Human Resources Management at Students Factory, where they were responsible for hiring plans and job ads.

In 2021, Arshiya joined RAKBANK as a Trade Finance Representative, handling operational tasks and customer requests. The following year, in 2022, they moved to Hubpay as an Anti-Money Laundering Analyst, conducting investigations and risk assessments for corporate clients.

Arshiya's latest role, starting in September 2022, is as a Data Science Enthusiast and Kaggle Practitioner at Kaggle. Here, they have developed expertise in applying machine learning algorithms and statistical analysis to real-world problems, collaborating with a global community of data scientists and completing successful projects demonstrating proficiency in areas such as predictive modeling and data visualization.

Arshiya Farooq completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology from the Virtual University of Pakistan, graduating in the year 2020. After that, they pursued further education and obtained several additional certifications. In July 2020, they completed a certification in Graphic Designing from Litplus Creatives. Then, in June 2021, they obtained a certification in Artificial Intelligence from the Virtual University of Pakistan. In August 2021, they received a certification in Employee Stress And Well-being Management from the Metropolitan School of Business & Management (UK). Next, in June 2022, they completed a certification course titled "Learning Data Science: Tell Stories with Data Science" from LinkedIn. In July 2022, they obtained certifications in "Introduction to Anti Money Laundering Regulations" from Alison and "Operational Analysis of Suspicious Transaction Reports" from the Basel Institute on Governance.

Currently, Arshiya is pursuing a Master of Science (MS) degree in Artificial Intelligence from the University of West London, with a projected completion date in 2023.
