John Brown is a Senior Full-Stack Engineer and founder of Afro Coders, dedicated to building a premier coding boot camp for black youth. Currently, they are a Senior Software Engineer II at HubSpot, focusing on improving the customer checkout experience, and actively serve as Mentorship Chair and Secretary for the 100 Black Men of Tampa Bay. Previously, John held roles at various companies, including Expert Interview Engineer at Karat and Senior Software Engineer at multiple organizations, where they contributed to software development and mentoring efforts. John earned a Bachelor of Science in Web and Multimedia Development from Purdue University and a Master of Science in Interactive Entertainment from the Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy.
