Sunil Desai

Sunil Desai has a diverse work experience in various leadership roles in brand management, marketing, and communications. Sunil is currently working as the VP of Brand at HubSpot since November 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Global Brand & Communications at Shopify from August 2019 to October 2022. At Shopify, they played a crucial role in building and scaling the brand globally and implementing strategic campaigns.

Before Shopify, Sunil worked as a Consultant at DCG from June 2015 to July 2019. In this role, they advised early-stage startups and established brands on marketing and communications strategies, helped implement best practices, and drove conversion and awareness for a range of clients across different industries.

Sunil also has extensive experience in brand marketing and communications, having worked at Amazon from July 2014 to December 2017. Sunil oversaw brand strategy, integrated marketing campaigns, communications, and various partnerships and programs for Softlines, a fast-growing division at Amazon.

Prior to Amazon, Sunil served as the Vice President at HL Group (now KWT Global) from December 2008 to March 2014. Sunil led the consumer practice and developed marketing strategies for renowned clients in luxury, fashion, and general consumer categories. Sunil'sresponsibilities included executing projects and retainer assignments for high-profile clients such as Amazon, NIKE, Ralph Lauren, and Dolce & Gabbana.

Before HL Group, Sunil started their career as an Associate at Droege Group from August 2007 to November 2008. Sunil provided management consulting to clients, focusing on new market entry, acquisitions, operations strategy, and corporate restructuring.

Sunil Desai holds a BS degree in Business Management from Babson College. Additionally, they have completed a Yoga Teacher and Yoga Therapy Practitioner program at Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram.
