Cole Peterson

Cole Peterson is a seasoned mining professional with extensive experience in various roles within the mining industry. Currently serving as Mine Operations Superintendent at Hudbay Minerals Inc. since June 2023, Cole previously held the position of Senior Mining Engineer at Copper Mountain Mining Corp. from January 2022 to June 2023. Prior to that, Cole worked at Teck Resources Limited from April 2018 to January 2022 as Mine Operations Supervisor, overseeing tasks such as dispatcher and equipment supervision, and managing autonomous haulage operations. Cole's early career included roles at Taseko: Gibraltar Mine, where responsibilities ranged from EIT Mine Engineering to Drill & Blast Engineer. Cole holds a degree in Mining Engineering from Montana Tech of the University of Montana and has foundational education from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
