Linas Jankunas

Linas Jankunas, P.Eng (ON, MB), currently serves as a Senior Ground Control Engineer at Hudbay Minerals Inc. since July 2023. Previously, Linas held the position of Ground Control Engineer at Alamos Gold Inc. from November 2021 to November 2023, where responsibilities included QAQC of shotcrete and ground support installation, rock mass characterization, seismic analysis, and stability assessments. Linas has experience as a Geotechnician at Baffinland, a Geotechnical/Environmental EIT at exp Global Inc., a Geophysical Analyst at ESG Solutions, and a Research/Laboratory Assistant at Queen's Facility for Isotope Research. Linas began a career as a Service Technician at Kennedy Ford Sales Ltd., obtaining Ford Senior Technician certification. Linas possesses a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geological Engineering from Queen's University and a Certificate of Apprenticeship in Automotive Mechanics from Mohawk College.
