Jill Hennessy

Ms Hennessy is a highly distinguished former Victorian Attorney-General and Minister for Health and served in the Victorian Legislative Assembly between 2010 and 2022. Among her signature political achievements were the passing of Victoria’s Voluntary Assisted Dying legislation and major reforms to Victoria’s occupational health and safety laws. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from Monash University and a Master of Laws from the University of Melbourne. She was recently appointed as a Vice Chancellor’s Professorial Fellow at Monash University and also sits on the Board of the disability service provider Scope (Australia). Before entering parliament Jill practised as a solicitor and was a senior advisor to former Victorian Premier Steve Bracks.
